β€’

my self-care (Kapha season) morning routine

πŸ’— Wake between 6 and 7 AM

πŸ’— Eliminate first thing after waking up

πŸ’— Tongue scraping followed by brushing my teeth

πŸ’— Rinse my nasal passage with neti pot

πŸ’— Drink a big glass of room temp water

morning movement

1. Move any way that feels good, get on your Yoga mat and move trough a few sun salutations, take a walk outside, shake off any sluggishness, go to the gym and activate your metabolic system early in the day

2. Sit down to breath, Pranayama such as full Yogic breath, Bhastrika or Kapalabhati can really help you get your day kickstarted

3. Meditate and set your intention for the day. Take this time to connect with the subtle energies of the cosmos that are more accessible in the early morning hours.

4. Journal and let go of heavyweight by expression your words on paper

5. Dry brush and Abhyanga, I personally dry brush every day and do Abhyanga once or twice a week if I have more time to be realistic (a morning routine can only become a routine if you do things from the heart without pressure)

6. Shower to rinse off and get ready (you can also add cold shower if it's something you love)

drinks, foods and vitamins

πŸ’— Fresh ginger, lemon and Turmeric tea

πŸ’— Fresh orange juice (this really helps for me personally to decrease inflammation in my skin)

πŸ’— Light but nutritious and healthy breakfast (my breakfast looks different every day, one day it's warm fruit and nuts, one day it's eggs with spinach and mushrooms, oat banana pancakes, fresh oatmeal, .. ) mostly it's warm to help balance agni (the digestive fire) and encourage proper digestion

πŸ’— Vitamins my body needs (this is different for everyone)
